I was under the impression that if you did a lot of riding of your motorcycle in the cold, that without the proper types of gear and clothing to keep you very warm during any cold weather rides, that it would definitely be much more difficult to control the motor bike in any type of emergency. That is why so many motorcycle gear companies do manufacture motorcycle heated gloves, since your hands should not be allowed to be cold during riding. They do not respond as quickly when cold, and this can affect your ability to steer the bike if you hydroplane.
