My husband is disabled and uses a wheelchair. It can be difficult for him to move from the wheelchair to the toilet. We have talked to his doctor and his physical therapist about options for him. They have suggested that we look into a disabled toilet. There are different degrees of obtaining a new toilet. We could have the existing toilet replaced with a new one or we could simply get a new toilet seat. We have decided we want to change out the entire toilet because we do not feel that the seat  alone is enough change in order to benefit my husband’s specific disability.
