Always Allow The Water To Drip When There’s No Basement

Living in Upstate NY you never know when bad weather is going to hit and what kind of damage it may do to the pipes in your home. Last fall we received an early snow fall which result in temperatures of below 0 and freezing rain. We don’t have a basement so when the temperatures are really cold we have to allow the water to drip in the pipes. My wife forgot to leave the pipes dripping when she left out and it resulted in the pipes freezing and cracking. We had to hire a plumber to repair the pipes. It nearly cost us a fortune in repair fees.
