Barefoot Running

Barefoot running is an alternative to running with running shoes. Barefoot running on soft ground is claimed to have a lot of benefits such as reduced running time; improved muscle strength and better foot biomechanics. However, there is no evidence that running barefoot is even ideal and is even beneficial. That does mean it is not useful, it is just the evidence does not exist to support it. There are many video clips on You Tube touting the benefits of barefoot running, but they all ignore the lack of evidence or they twist evidence around to claim it does support what they do, when in reality it dosen’t.
