Can I use the right format ?

I am very worried about if I can use the right formats with my DVDs, as they haven’t been recorded using default format, but with an African format, that might not be compatible. If you click here you will see the example page of the software, so I would like your educated guesses please if it will work with my formats. I don’t know what other alternative I have, if it doesn’t work. I certainly cannot remake those DVDs, as most of the original material is long gone. Classics like “Cactus Water” and “Sand in sand” are something I couldn’t afford losing.
